I bought these as a backup OCR shoe for double race Spartan weekends, as my beloved Salming Elements have been discontinued. For their virgin run, I wore them on a 12 mile mountain jaunt that had 6,000 ft of elevation gain and fairly wet and muddy trails due to some heavy rains that recently passed through. Out of the box, the shoes were comfortable on my feet with plenty of room in the toe box. On the trail, I was hoping for good traction, especially on the rocks, but they were very slippery and I found myself lacking confidence in their ability to keep me solidly in my feet. On the downs, my forefoot was sliding around a lot in the shoe, and my toes were banging into the ends, despite having laced them all the way back into the last hole. At the 6 mile mark, I could feel blisters forming on the bottoms of my big toes from all the sliding around my toes were doing. At that point, I put my Salmings on and finished the remaining 6 miles without slipping on the trail, or further aggravating the small blisters that had developed.Read full 19 ratings for Inov-8 Women s Roclite 305 Running Shoe at Amazon Reviews
